Calf Feeding
Come along to Bertie’s Farm for a unique experience to bottle feed one of our baby calves
Come and enjoy an unforgettable hands-on experience at our farm! We have adorable baby calves that need bottle-feeding, and we’re giving you the chance to help.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both children and adults to get up close and personal with our calves. During your visit, you will
Spend up to an hour on the farm meeting our calves
Learn how we care for them
Give them their bottle of milk with guidance from our friendly staff
Important Information:
Calves are strong, and the bottles are large. While there are no age restrictions, children under 6 will need help from an adult.
Each bottle is dedicated to one calf, and we love to name them—so you’ll have your very own calf to care for!
Prices are based per bottle, with a maximum of two people per bottle, (entitles up to two people to feed one bottle to one calf).
To keep the experience special, group sizes are limited.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, this is a working farm.
What happens if I’m late? The calves all need to be fed at once and at a regular time. As such we advise you to get to the Farm 10 minutes in advance. We will have to go ahead with the feed if you’re late and we aren’t able to offer refunds!
Health & Safety
PLEASE NOTE: All animals, especially farm animals, carry bugs which can be passed to humans, it's very important that after you have fed the calves you remember to wash your hands. There is a hand wash facility with hot running water before you re enter the cosy barn . Find our more guidance on visiting farms by clicking here >>>
As this is a high contact animal activity, we do not recommend those with weakened immune systems take part, calf feeding also isn’t suitable for anyone pregnant. As with all animal activities hand washing with warm water and soap is essential for all participants, both before and after handling the calves and staff will oversee this process for everyone’s safety.
